How Cute Is the Hanna Andersson x Dusen Dusen Collab?

There’s nothing sweeter than kids in pjs, so I was thrilled when I heard that Hanna Andersson and Dusen Dusen were coming together to create an exclusive, limited-edition collection. Their pajamas, T-shirts, sweatshirts and socks — for babies, kids and adults — are an explosion of stripes and colors.

To celebrate the launch, we invited some neighborhood families over for brunch at Dusen Dusen’s studio.

How cute is the Dusen Dusen team?

“I grew up wearing Hanna Andersson,” says Ellen, the founder. “The final assortment came out even better than I’d imagined.” Dusen Dusen’s bold patterns are always so fun and playful.

When our friends arrived, we ate banana bread, frittata, and fruit, and everyone wore their pajamas. It felt like the morning after a sleepover.

We jumped on the bed…

…chatted with friends…

…and read books.

We also did crafts, like making masks inspired by the design of the iconic Dusen Dusen everybody face.

We filled out “about me” pages, where kids used stickers to share their favorite colors, animals, and foods.

And took photos with an old-school polaroid.

Spending the morning in Hanna pajamas felt so good. For more than 40 years, they’ve made pieces with bright, never-fading colors and soft, comfortable fabrics. Toby and Anton have worn them for years, and now I’m thinking of getting mix-and-match sets for their cousins this holiday.

Finally, after a couple hours, it was time for naps. Such a beautiful morning.

See the full Hanna Andersson x Dusen Dusen collection here, if you’d like. What are your favorite pieces? What would you wear for movie nights and pancake mornings? I LOVE this colorway and this fun T-shirt.
P.S. How to make a home a haven and the best parenting advice I ever got.

48 commentsJoanna! Anton has gotten so big and handsome, wasn’t he just a baby? 🥹
My daughters, now 30 and 35, wore Hanna Andersson a lot when they were young. Such high quality clothing. How fun to see that they are still popular and well-loved by so many of you.
Toby is such a handsome young man!!
Hanna pajamas are the best: comfortable, colorful, and durable! They get handed down from kid to kid.
I didn’t think I’d become the mom dressing my kids in matching in jammies but it is really, really adorable. A very easy, barely sewing tidbit has helped me stretch two years (or more!) out of jammies. (Esp since they taper at feet and legs, so buying a bit big just means a smidge baggy). Along one side of the leg I fold over the waist elastic and sew, making it up to 3 inches less at the waist. It’s barely noticable to me and the kids never comment.
Hanna Andersson clothing make the best hand-me-downs because they are built to last. Many gender-neutral colors and patterns, timeless styles, 100% organic cotton and fold up cuffs so kids can get extended use out of them. I had Hanna Andersson outfits that worked their way through all four of my kids and were still in such good shape that I passed them on to my niece and nephew to enjoy. Love’ em!
Absolutely the best quality from Hanna Andersson! I had a cute striped dress for my daughter when she was a toddler, and I set it aside for a coworker when she had a baby because I knew she loved it… her little girl wore it and now it’s been passed on to a third co-worker’s daughter! Sisterhood of the travelling dress!
I was never the “matching family pajamas” type (or even a proper-pajamas person), but my then-7-year-old charmed me into holiday PJs one year and I found I loved our mutual cuteness. The heartbreak came the next year when mine still fit, but hers were too small… and she rolled her eyes at the idea of new ones. Now I’m on year 3 of solo mom Christmas PJs — no one warned me about this!
Can we talk about that sticker roll? Where do I find that? I need more stickers in my life.
++ I would absolutely love to know where to get rolls of stickers. I have so many amazing memories of Sandy Lion stickers and am sad that plentiful stickers seem hard to come by these days.
I also like it a lot! I found out that the rack is actually from IKEA. You‘re supposed to put drawing paper in it. I‘d like to use it for sticker rolls, though, I found a lot of cute ones on Etsy.
I mean this as kindly as possible, but I feel like there’s been a lot of posts along the lines of “check out this promotional party you weren’t invited to for a book/product/etc” and I feel like it’s just not what most of us come here for.
Sponsors are how this site remains free, which I really appreciate. I also appreciate that I’ve never seen a sponsored post here for a company that seemed out of place for the CoJ blog and community that I’ve loved for 15 years. Not every post is for every reader and it’s quite possible to just move along and read the next one you’re more excited about.
I disagree, I love knowing there are people out there leading fun and colourful lives! And ditto the note about cool, values matched sponsors. I appreciate this helps keep CoJ free because I sure can’t afford to pay for it!
I hear you, Evie! We have been doing more sponsored events (vs posts) than usual, and I appreciate your feedback.
This is SO cool! Too bad I live in The Netherlands. X
Hanna Anderson ship internationally :) I don’t mind paying the higher shipping rates because my kids have worn HA clothes for years and I understand the sizing and quality so know I won’t end up in some terrible int’l returns situation — they also give height measurements for sizes so you can check it for your children
Sadly not to The Netherlands Emily. It’s because the changes in taxes Trumps decided.
I can’t believe how grown-up Anton looks!! even just since the last post with photos of him. my boys are about the same age as yours, and it’s shocking how fast they’re changing! it’s like they’re babies all over again!
My toddler’s underwear are Hanna Anderson. He loves them and they have held up to the constant washing required when potty training!
Oooooooh. I remember splurging on Hanna Anderson outfits for my now 24 year old daughter when she was a baby! Love the colors and comfiness!
Feeling pretty good that I picked your favorite colorway for our annual holiday pajamas this year! The marketing pictures didn’t have a ton of real life ones so I was just crossing my fingers it’d look good on everyone and based on these pics I think it will. I’m loving these fun HA collabs lately–last year I bought the Baggu ones for the holidays and they’re still my favorite pajamas I own!
Oh my goodness, I nanny in Joanna’s neighborhood, and I recognize a comical amount of these children. One of them is the bff of the 4 year old I currently watch. This is so cute and funny. I love this vibe!!
I’m reading this while rocking my newborn and thinking we need matching pajamas!
awwwwww
I love these bold colors and patterns. I’m on a real wardrobe upgrade mission to add more play, color, whimsy. What other bright bold brands do y’all love?
Nooworks! Woman-owned and size inclusive. Plus *gorgeous* and fun patterns.
State the Label, Nor Black Nor White, Primary, Rachel Antonoff, Lorien Stern. Boden also has a lot of whimsy. Wild Fang has fun suits. So much fun stuff out there.
Boden!
lucy and yak and rujuta shethny are two i’ve come across recently!
Love a Hanna Andersson print! This collab is so happy! I wore a HA long night shirt when I was pregnant. So cozy.
What a perfect pairing: not just Dusen Dusen x Hanna Andersson but + the Cup of Jo “extended family.” You are all so cute and this looks like the sweetest party! I hope to be able to buy myself one of the poplin PJ sets as a Christmas gift to myself.
awww I love that :)
Agreeeeee
I love these! I’ve been wanting some new pajama sets. Can anyone recommend some that won’t break my bank?
Omg these colors! The smiles! The morning after a sleep over with friends is totally the best part–such a great idea to re-create that feeling. These stripe-y Scandi styled pjs are going to get us through the winter!
Love the art in the bedroom – who is the artist?
I’ll ask Ellen! xo
I have been trying to brighten up my wardrobe lately by slowly incorporating some color since I have always worn a lot of black and grey. This post inspires me no end. What happy pjs! My favorites are the striped sets with the contracting striped pocket. Everyone looks amazing in those, and Anton manages to look cool! The baby striped onesie is adorable.
Oooh love!!! “I’m thinking of getting mix-and-match sets for their cousins this holiday” 👀
for the grandparent paparazzi
I am obsessed with all of these PJs! Do you have to have little kids around to wear them haha. P.S. I love how Anton styled his with jeans — definitely going to start a trend.
Agree!!
I am happy to see an antidote to sad beige children lol! And also, good for them, not for me. This is too bright and too chaotic for my eyes. But I love that it makes others happy.
OMG CUTEEEEE! is it weird that i want to have another baby to squeeze into that onesie??
that is 1000% a good reason :)
Super cute – but I know seeing that moon face in the dark when my child wakes me up in the middle of the night is going to FREAK ME OUT, so I can’t do it.
Cackling at this :)
